She graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a BA in Jewellery Design in 2007 and then acquired a General Gemologist qualification from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America in London. Maria is fascinated by the notion of femininity, the journey and the transformations that a woman faces throughout her life, and the sacrifices that she makes to fulfill her dreams. Every piece of jewellery is either one of a kind or limited edition and when worn enhances a woman's mystique and gives a glimpse of her forbidden thoughts. She believes that jewellery should reflect the personality of the owner, so each piece that Maria creates is an echo of her aspirations, dreams and desires.
